Hello guys! How are you? I am good and I have to say that I'm so happy that this week the weather is a bit uncertain, so that I don't feel the need to spend all my time outdoor and I can stay home, focusing on the things that I like, especially updating the blog.
So today I wanted to review a cafeteria/restaurant located on the Lauttasaari coast: its name is Paseo Cafe & Grill. To be fair I wrote this place down on my list of cafeterias to visit already one year ago, but in the end I just had the chance to go two days ago with a friend who lives in the same neighborhood. This place impressed me so much not just for its location between the forest and the sea, but also for its particular structure completely made of wood and glass. Me and my friend met at 5pm in front of the restaurant and despite the place was quite crowded, we had the luck to sit in the parveke-terassi, the balcony-terrace with a sea view... lovely! I took the meal of the day that was the lohikeitto (salmon soup, one of my favorite Finnish dishes by the way :D ) as I was starving after the gym and my friend went for a piece of cheesecake with some coffee. Are you wondering if I also took a piece of cake after my meal? Well, honestly speaking, I'm trying my best to cut down on sugars, but yeah, I was really tempted to taste my friend's cake, but this time I was strong enough not to fall into temptation :P . Anyways I have to admit that I couldn't have made a better choice, because my lohikeitto was extremely good, the portion was big and last but not least it was served with some ruisleipä ja voita (rye bread and butter)... mmm so yummy! I really recommend you to give this place a chance and go to enjoy some fresh food in a very relaxing atmosphere surrounded by nature. There is also the possibility to rent the place for ceremonies and private parties. You can find further info on their website as well as their menu and all their special dishes. Paseo & Grill won't disappoint anyone's expectations with its wide range of options: from pastries and cakes to soups, salads and grilled specialities. Ciao ragazzi! Come state? Io sto bene e devo dire che sono felice che in questa settimana il tempo sia un po' incerto, così non sento il bisogno di trascorrere le mie giornate fuori e posso finalmente stare a un po' casa, per dedicarmi alle cose che mi piacciono di più e soprattutto aggiornare il blog.
Così oggi ho voluto recensire una caffetteria/ristorante situata sulla costa di Lauttasaari: il posto in questione è Paseo Cafe & Grill. Ad essere sincera avevo appuntato questo posto nella lista di caffetterie da visitare già un anno fa, ma alla fine ho avuto l'occasione di andarci solo due giorni fa con una mia amica che vive nello stesso quartiere.
Questo posto mi ha colpito tantissimo, non solo per la sua posizione tra il bosco e il mare, ma anche per la sua particolare struttura completamente fatta in legno e vetro. Curiosi di vedere di cosa sto parlando? Bene, ecco una foto, ma vi consiglio di cercare su Google il posto per vedere foto migliori.
Io e la mia amica ci siamo incontrate alle 17 davanti al ristorante, e nonostante il locale fosse abbastanza affollato, abbiamo avuto la fortuna di sederci nel parveke-terassi, il balcone-terrazza con vista mare... incantevole!
Ho preso il pasto del giorno che era la lohikeitto (zuppa di salmone, uno dei miei piatti finlandesi preferiti tra l'altro :D ) e la mia amica invece ha preso una fetta di cheesecake e un caffè. Vi state chiedendo se ho preso anche una fetta di torta dopo la mia zuppa? Beh, a dir la verità sto cercando di evitare i dolci per un po', ma sì, ero davvero tentata di assaggiare la torta della mio amica, ma questa volta sono stato abbastanza forte da non cadere in tentazione :P . Ad ogni modo devo ammettere che non avrei potuto fare scelta migliore, perché la mia lohikeitto era buonissima, la porzione era abbondante e in più era servita con ruisleipä ja voita (pane e burro di segale)... mmm gnam! Vi consiglio davvero di andare almeno una volta in questo bellissimo posto e gustare del cibo fresco in un'atmosfera molto rilassante immersa nella natura. Vi è inoltre la possibilità di affittare il locale per cerimonie e feste private. Potete trovare ulteriori informazioni sul loro sito web, come anche il loro menu e tutti i loro piatti speciali. Paseo & Grill non deluderà le vostre aspettative con la sua vasta gamma di opzioni: dai dolci e torte, alle zuppe, insalate e specialità alla griglia.
